Personal Finance Platform
Pocketa is a production-ready personal finance platform designed specifically for Persian-speaking users, focusing on everyday money management, budgeting, and financial planning. The application provides a complete ecosystem for tracking income and expenses, managing multiple accounts, importing bank SMS transactions, monitoring savings goals, recurring payments, investments, and financial reports—all within a mobile-first, RTL experience optimized for Persian users.
Built with a Next.js frontend and an Express backend, the platform communicates through REST APIs and uses JWT authentication with HttpOnly cookies for secure session management. Particular attention was given to Persian localization, including Jalali calendar support, Toman currency formatting, RTL layouts, and smooth mobile/PWA interactions.
My primary responsibility was product ideation, frontend architecture, complete UI implementation, REST API integration, and delivering polished end-to-end product experiences across every major financial workflow. The project emphasizes usability, responsive design, reliable form interactions, and scalable frontend architecture rather than simply implementing CRUD interfaces.
Product Ideation & Full Front-End Development (Next.js / React) I was responsible for product ideation, frontend architecture, complete UI implementation, REST API integration, reusable UI patterns, mobile-first interaction design, and building complete user journeys across transactions, budgeting, goals, investments, recurring payments, onboarding, and reporting. My work included designing the overall user experience for a Persian personal finance platform, implementing responsive layouts, integrating backend services, solving complex mobile and PWA interaction challenges, and ensuring a consistent design system across Ant Design and Tailwind CSS. The backend—including authentication services, business logic, database management, and API implementation—was developed separately. My focus was delivering a scalable, production-ready frontend that provides a polished and reliable financial management experience.
The application was organized into reusable feature modules such as Transactions, Accounts, Budgets, Goals, Investments, Reports, Review, Dashboard, and Settings to improve maintainability and long-term scalability.
Tailwind CSS was used for layouts, responsive behavior, and custom interactions, while Ant Design powered complex forms, tables, modals, and enterprise-grade UI components.
Authentication is based on JWT access and refresh tokens stored in HttpOnly cookies, providing a production-ready security model without relying on localStorage.
TanStack Query manages server state, caching, and synchronization, while Zustand handles lightweight client-side state such as theme preferences, onboarding progress, and account filters.
The interface was designed primarily for mobile devices, with special attention given to touch interactions, keyboard-aware layouts, action sheets, overlay behavior, and PWA compatibility.
Pocketa demonstrates my ability to design and build a production-ready financial application with a strong emphasis on user experience, frontend architecture, and real-world product workflows. The project showcases expertise in scalable React and Next.js development, secure API integration, Persian RTL interfaces, mobile-first design, financial dashboard development, and solving complex interaction challenges across modern web and PWA environments.
